Blue Reef Beach Policies

When planning a romantic getaway, friends' travel adventure, or family vacation at Blue Reef Beach, please review the following policies for lodging at our Caribbean resort.

A 50% deposit is required at the time of reservation and is charged to the Visa, Mastercard, American Express, or Discover card you provide. 

The remaining balance is due 30 days before check-in and will be charged to the card on file unless other payment arrangements have been made. Reservations made within 30 days of check in will be charged the full amount at the time of reservation.

• One Bed Second Floor Suites sleep 2
• Family rooms with one King Bed and twin bunk beds sleep a family of 2-4
• Platinum Suite with one King Bed sleeps 2

Check-in time is after 3pm. Ask us if you desire an early check in or a late check out, and we will endeavour to accommodate.

Check-out time is any time before 11am.

• Deposits are non-refundable but are transferable.
• If you cancel your trip 60 days or more prior to departure, 50% of the balance is non-refundable.
• If you cancel within 60 days, the entire balance is non-refundable.
• If Blue Reef Beach and Marina (owned by Reef Era Holdings Ltd.) cancels the trip prior to departure, 100% of the balance and the deposit are refundable, except in cases of natural disaster and force majeure.

Reef Era Holdings Ltd. will not be liable for failure to perform agreed obligations, if such failure is as a result of Acts of God (including fire, flood, earthquake, storm, hurricane or other natural disaster), viruses such as COVID-19, war, invasion, act of foreign enemies, hostilities (regardless of whether war is declared), civil war, rebellion, revolution, insurrection, military or usurped power or confiscation, terrorist activities, nationalization, government sanction, blockage, embargo, labor dispute, strike, lockout or interruption or failure of electricity or telephone service.

Should diving, fishing or island transfers not take place due to force majeure, natural disaster or unforeseeable circumstances including rough sea conditions, monies will not be refunded. It is advisable to take out travel insurance prior to your trip. 

Wherever possible Blue Reef Beach and Marina will try to reschedule cancelled trips to a future date within a 12-month period, subject to availability.

Blue Reef Beach and Marina can reschedule full resort bookings; however there will be a cancellation fee.

Check-in is any time after 3pm, and check-out is by 11:00 AM. Please contact us if you have an early arrival or late departure, we endeavour to facilitate your itinerary and be flexible around these times whenever possible.

We love animals, pets are permitted here on the premises in outside areas only but not for overnight stays. Service animals are always accommodated.

All room rates include a la carte breakfast.

Yes, free on-site self-parking is available for all guests.

Before your arrival date, the concierge team will reach out to you for your international flight details and will book your domestic flights between BZE (Philip Goldson International) and PLJ (Placencia Municipal Airport). 

You pay for the return flights at the Tropic Air desk upon check in.

There are no fees for cancellations or changes to your Tropic Air flights. Missed flights/delays are not an issue - you will be automatically booked onto the next available flight.

One of our team members will greet you at Placencia airport and bring you to the resort, which is just 8 minutes north of the airstrip. Your ground transfers are also included and will also be organized for your departure from the resort.

The resort offers a beachfront swimming pool, private marina, kayaks, paddleboards, push bikes, daily housekeeping, gift shop, three bars, two unique restaurants and provisions store. See amenities. 

Blue Reef Beach is not wheelchair accessible, all our rooms require step access. If you or a fellow traveller have mobility considerations, please contact our reservations team on +501 616-0985 to discuss if we are suitable for your/their needs.

Absolutely! The resort has family rooms sleeping 4 available as well as smaller suites that sleep 2. Please note that children under 12 are not permitted to inhabit guest rooms unaccompanied.

Blue Reef Beach sits right on the beach and is ideally placed for swimming, snorkeling trips, scuba diving, fishing and a wealth of inland archaeological sites, wildlife and nature reserves and river tours, which are all within easy reach with professional guides. Take our free bicycles and cycle along the smooth cycle path north to pretty Maya Beach, with its numerous restaurants and bowling alley, or drive south to the lively fishing village of Placencia. Yes, a minimum two-night stay is required.

Yes, the resort features two restaurants and three bars. Blue Lagoon Restaurant and Bar is right over the water on the marina side of the resort, whilst the Beach Restaurant and poolside swim-up bar are on the Caribbean Sea side of the property.

Yes, complimentary Wi-Fi is available throughout the property.

Blue Reef Beach is located 10 minutes' drive from Placencia Village, just south of the fishing village of Seine Bight and 8 minutes south of Maya Beach.
