A Sound of Our Own: Meet The Belize Collection's Resident Musicians, Ari & Anton

Across Belize, music is woven into everyday life. It carries stories, preserves traditions, brings people together, and gives each place its own rhythm. At The Belize Collection, creating meaningful experiences also means celebrating the people and creative voices that make Belize what it is.

This season, that philosophy takes on a new sound as Ari & Anton join The Belize Collection as Resident Musicians, bringing live music to our properties and signature experiences across the country.

Ari & Anton are a Belize-based musical duo, with Ari on vocals and Anton on guitar, blending jazz, soul, and R&B into a sound that is both soulful and distinctly their own. Their musical partnership began as members of Omolewa Osain, a band directed by Cuban music educator and performer Carlos Perrote, where their shared approach to music and creativity quickly became apparent.

Growing up in Belize, both were surrounded by the rhythms, traditions, and stories that continue to influence their music today. Their sound also draws inspiration from artists such as Stevie Wonder, Ella Fitzgerald, Chet Baker, and The Beatles. Rooted in Belize while inspired by music from around the world, Ari & Anton bring together local influence, musical craftsmanship, and a genuine connection to every performance.

The Artist in Residence program reflects The Belize Collection's commitment to creating experiences with a genuine connection to Belize and the people who shape its culture. For Ari & Anton, the residency provides a space to create, connect with new audiences, and bring live Belizean artistry into each destination.

From the rainforest and riverside to the Caribbean coast, every setting brings a different energy to their music. A Bamboo Sessions performance by the Caribbean Sea may feel entirely different from Riverside Rhythms at The Banks or an intimate Wine & Cheese evening at The Cliff, The Rainforest Lodge at Sleeping Giant. With a repertoire spanning multiple genres and styles, Ari & Anton adapt to each setting while staying true to their sound.

Beyond the performances, the residency is also about creating greater visibility for Belizean artists. By giving local creatives a platform to share their work, The Belize Collection hopes to support a growing culture where Belizean artistry is celebrated, valued, and given more opportunities to thrive.

Throughout the residency, Ari & Anton will continue to explore their cultural backgrounds, experiment with new sounds, and find new interpretations of familiar music. Every venue and audience becomes an opportunity to evolve their craft while creating experiences that feel authentic to both their music and the destination.
