About Blue Reef Beach Resort in Placencia Belize

Blue Reef Beach is the second incarnation of a much-loved Belize beachfront resort that once attracted worldwide acclaim for its desirable location in the heart of the Placencia Peninsula and its beautiful natural surroundings. The sister property, Blue Reef Island, was the new owners' first foray into luxury accommodation development in Belize. When they learned the resort was going to auction, they saw its glittering potential and seized the opportunity to revitalize it.

The renaissance began with the overwater restaurant and bar at the marina on the lagoon side of the property, Blue Lagoon. It quickly emerged as a contemporary, humorous take on a 1930s speakeasy, complete with vintage furniture, eclectic art, and both indoor and waterfront deck seating positioned for the best sunset views.

The next phase of the resort's transformation includes a gas station and provisioning store for guests, boats, and the wider community, as well as exclusive new accommodations near the marina and a gym and spa on the beach side.
